    HP NC6120 not starting without dock..

    Hey all, I have an unusual issue. My friend HP NC6120 laptop recently stopped turning out.. No response at all whilest pressing the power button, but it DOES turn on when it is connected to her HP dock.

    I do not really have much more info on this.. Laptop just does not appear to turn on without the dock.. Not even when the AC power is plugged into the laptop and battery is removed.. Tried every combination and only one that works is through the dock.. Any suggestions?

    Also, she told me that recently she emailed a client and surprising her emails went into their inbox for suspected viruses or junk mail.. This doesn't usually happen.. Could this possibly be a virus related issue? Never heard of a virus that causes the laptop not to turn on without a dock..

    Any help is appreciate. I AM willing to open up the laptop, quite the handyman :)
