    Hi,

I have a HP NC6400 and I'm having problems getting 2 of the quick launch buttons to work with my nLite Windows XP pro SP2 installation (the hp presentation and the hp info center button). The wifi and sound buttons work fine.

I was just wondering what services and software exactly these buttons need. When I did a full win xp installation (from the win xp cd not the nLite "edition") + all that stuff that came with the hp driver/utility cd they worked fine.

And Its not about the stuff I'm removing its something about the final tweaks and settings in the nLite installation. (i tried a nLite XP cd without the final tweaks but all the stuff removed and they worked fine)

If anyone has any ideas or info it would be helpful.

I have installed all the software and still they don't work. I even have quick launch icon near the clock. Like I said: its something about nLite tweaks (not the removal of the software but the tweaks) that this HP Quick Launch doesn't like but I cant figure it out what.

from hardware perspective, try checking the device manager to ensure all hardware is detected and run properly since that button is another hardware that need driver. In my device manager I have hardware called "HP Quick Launch Buttons".

from software perspective, have you removed QlbCtrl.exe from startup? for example using msconfig .

afaik these two things make my quick launch buttons work.
