    hello all,

i have a NX 6125, whch will work flawlessy for days perfectly then all of a sudden, the screen will go black, the wireless light will go off, the hard drive goes mental and then it powers itself off.

no ideas changed wireless card out, changed the HDD, changed RAM, changed DVD rom, tried XP & vista, both using the HP restore pack. :(

tried it wthout battery too, it seems to die quicker when the graphics drivers are installed, have resetted the processor and the graphics chip. changed fan to always on.

Done a bios upgrade, :( end of my tether with it, i think its the mobo to be honest, just hoping.

    Kind Regards
    Martyn

Perhaps it's overheating? Download HWMonitor and see what kind of temps you get.

A Linux Live CD may be worth checking out. That'd tell you whether it's Windows or a hardware issue.

You tried ebay? I don't know that it'll be cheap.
