Hi guys,
So I just bought a HP netbook for my sister for christmas and we got it all set up today fine. Only problem is that the battery (it's the extended battery - not sure how many cells) just will not charge. It has been plugged in all day so far today and it still reads as 0%, and when you unplug it, the computer will just die (because no battery power).
Granted the unit WAS an "open box" when I bought it so perhaps this is the reason it was originally returned, even though the unit looked brand new. What can I do to resolve this problem other?
Thanks
-
what OS is on it? either way this link for HP battery check should work http://h20239.www2.hp.com/techcenter/battery/battery_ts.htm
install the HP Battery Check Software and run it. It will test the battery. If it fails, it should give you a code and HP will owe you a new battery. -
it is with Windows 7 Starter. Thanks for that, I'll run that tomorrow on it and see what pops up
HP Netbook battery will not charge
