This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    This is a separate thread for all HP related notebook batteries that are affected by this round of recalls. The batteries in question pertain to notebooks sold between December 2004 and June 2006. HP has updated the recall list on October 30, 2008.

    Update 10/31/2008 - About 74,000 batteries are affected with the following models:
    - HP Pavilion dv1000
    - HP Pavilion dv8000
    - HP Pavilion zd8000
    - Compaq Presario V2000, Compaq Presario V2400
    - HP Compaq nc6110, nc6120, nc6140, nc6220, nc6230
    - HP Compaq nx6110, nx6120, nx4800, nx4820, nx9600
