Hi there - I'm wondering if anyone can help me out here.

If I ever have to do a hard shut down by holding down the power button on my nx6125, as soon as the computer (apparantly) shuts down, the hdd and fan start up again (with the power light at the front of the notebook coming on). The light next to the power button stays off.

Sometimes when this happens, the hard drive seems to perform some sort of operation (you can hear it, together with the light flashing).

While the computer is 'on' in this situation, I can generally shut it down by holding the power button. When it 'shuts down', the power button stays on.

More often than not, I'll have to wait for the battery to run down (i.e. orange light) before i can plug the computer into the mains and then it'll be fine.

Sorry it's a bit long-winded but if anyone can help I'd be very grateful.
