I might look into buying a HP notebook.
    Is it better than Acer?
    Thats my only question really.
Many people have them? Warranty any good? Last a long time?(notebook)

It has twice the amount of RAM that the Acer 5100 you are looking at. Plus it also has a bigger HDD. Having used an Acer as well as couple of HP's, IMO the HP is much better in terms of build quality. Sometimes Acer has the better value but their build quality is below par. If the price difference is pretty resonable I would definately recommend picking up an HP over the Acer. Warranty should be the same between both companies. Acer offers a ITW warranty with their systems which is kind useful if you travel a lot but other than that I dont think there are too many differences.

P.S - The dv6105ca is just a pre-configured version of the dv6000z, there are a couple of reviews of the series. Check them out inthe reviews section.

Alright, Sounds good. I also heard something about a high pitch noise from HP though? Whats that about?

I am gonna look for some reviews now.

It seems to be an intra-brand problem. Search the forums you'll see many people have reported the same sort of noise in other laptops as well. So you might or might not have that noise. I have 2 V3000z's and neither had any problems with high noise.

From my understanding, the whines are indeed intra-brand and are apparently attributed to capacitors that are found on ICs like CPUs. I've had it on several laptops.
