The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Can someone upload the HP OEM Information & Logo with rapidshare or some other file hosting site? I kinda reformat my lappy and forgot to back-up the those two files.

    btw the files are:

    oeminfo.ini and
    oemlogo.bmp

    located in your system32 folder.

    Just change the Manufacturer name from Compaq to HP.
    As for the logo, if you want the Compaq one, I can upload...but there are several HP logo's available when you search through Google images....
