at last some light at the end of the tunnel... though still not too bright :/
    - skylake + ddr4 - great; user-accessible ram - even better! (though the competition skipped this fail to make ram soldered completely, unlike HP with 1st gen omens who obviously needed this to learn to step up to the minimal standard of the competition)
    - ssd+hd - great (yet still an essential standard, nothing special)
    - num pad on the 15.6'' and no unnecessary macro keys - great!
and lastly.... ethernet port is back! WOW! (again a step the competition didn't have to do - omitting it in the 1st get omen - to know its a fail)

    but then...
    - 1st gen maxwell gpus and just the weakest 2nd gen maxwell (965) weeks after pascal has been announced and a month or so before it gets released... :( 970m is the way to go resp. 1070m when released
    - no usb 3.1; its 2016 and this is supposed to be top of the consumer line... :(
    - the displays poor quality is just another fail; lets hope the displays on final products will be better :(
    - metal chassis should be expected, but if the plastic chassis really is good (like in the business line), it should be ok; still they should at least offer one optional top model with metal chassis (and optionable top hardware, eg. not 965m and no usb 3.1) - omen x?

btw why can they do it properly with the desktop (put in almost best possible hardware - eg. gtx1080) but fail with the notebook again?!

now lets hope this is just a prototype and the final one is better, and they really do *EVERYTHING* right with omen x
