I think he means Optical Disc Drive (ODD) I know most of the newer models have a disc drive. With my model I had to buy a external Disc drive to install games and play movies etc.

I have an Omen 17 without the optical disk. Internally it's very confusing; just empty space and nothing else (EDIT: where the ODD should be)

I've got the 17" model with 1070/gsync/sdd/hdd but no odd. It runs really well and I've had zero issues with throttling (I have it undervolted anyways). The sound seems loud and clear, and the keyboard is above average (for a laptop). I will probably throw in another sdd if prices ever come back to earth, but I have haven't had a need to open it yet so I don't know how easy that will be.

Hi Ancelotti. Please can you kindly share your undervolting settings for the i7 7700HQ, I presume you got that in your system. I have tried -120 mV but I keep getting freezing screens but no Blue Screen Of Death. Maybe I have undervolted to much and the freezing happens when the laptop is on battery
