    Why has the original thread been closed?

    There's still people and a community out there that use this amazing notebook.

    I just replaced the battery again, and dusted the vents a bit (there was almost no dust due to running it fanless 24/7.

    Anyway, the Omen still seems to run like 20° colder now?

    Why's that?

    I believe you can petition a moderator to have it reopened but if not you can always link the owners lounge and ping notable members from it in a new thread.

    Thanks. Did that to all (two) moderators, and to the contact address, but got no reaction.

    Also, the moderators don't seem to have been active for years... What gives?
