Ordered one and will be here on Tuesday. The price was great with their 25% off coupon code (25BMSM618). I just hope the specs really are as listed on the website because it seems too good to be true. This is the product link:

    https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/omen-by-hp-17-an188nr

Price with current promotion and coupon code = $1474.49 Plus Tax

    Intel® Core™ i7-8750H
    NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1070 (8 GB GDDR5 dedicated)
    120hz 17.3" diagonal 4K IPS eDP anti-glare WLED-backlit (3840 x 2160)
    NVIDIA G-SYNC™ technology
    32 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (2 x 16 GB)
    256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
    2 TB 5400 rpm SATA
    Intel® 802.11b/g/n/ac (2x2) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 Combo
    1 HDMI 2.0; 1 headphone/microphone combo; 1 microphone-in; 1 Mini DisplayPort™; 1 RJ-45; 1 Thunderbolt™ 3 (Data Transfer up to 40 Gb/s, DP1.2, HP Sleep and Charge); 3 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 HP Sleep and Charge)

Do you really think this has a 17.3" 4K 120Hz G-Sync display? I really hope that it does and that there isn't a screw up on the listed specs.

How did I do? I'll update this post if anyone is interested in finding out what I actually get in the mail. ;)

Code doesn't work anymore. Nice laptop. There's no such thing as 4k 120hz. Not in laptops anyway. I personally would go for the omen x because it is sexier with the gtx 1080 and nicer keyboard. The one thing that puts me off is the red font keys on the regular omen 17. You can't change it. Red font is ugly on the asus rog laptops, dell inspiron, and now omen. Omen x has white font The newer omen 15 with piston hinge let's you choose either white or red font when customizing. Hopefully they add it for the 17.

    Would you mind
Would you mind sharing your experience of the laptop if you have a chance? I have a same model but with full HD 144Hz screen. It is a great machine but the CPU ran very hot, reaching upper 90s or even 100°C under heavy load. Gpu surprisingly ran very cool, maxed out around 68°C. I try to undervolt and bring temp to 80-90 max at the moment.
