Config of "An OMEN X 2S with the Core i7 processor option coming with a 512GB SSD, 16GB of RAM and an RTX 2070 will likely set you back £2499.99, while the Core i9 version coming with a 1TB SSD, 32GB of RAM and an RTX 2080 would cost you something in the region of £3499.99 – that’s about par for the course for some high-end gaming laptops these days, but none of which feature a second screen." - Trusted Reviews
"HP is promising that the 20mm-thin chassis will be kept nice and cool, thanks to Thermal Grizzly’s Conductonaut liquid metal coolant being applied to the thermal system – which HP says offers 10 times the heat dissipation compared to silicon thermal grease."
Availability: End of May 2019.
Price: TBA
"Pricing on the Omen X 2S 15 is expected to start at $2,099. We imagine that’s for the laptop with lower-end components than the top-end Core i9-9880H and RTX 2080 Max-Q we saw."
"Gaming industry insights show 82 percent of people use their mobile phones for messaging during gaming sessions, 61 percent listen to music, and 49 percent watch game related live streams, video content and browse websites," HP says. "With this in mind, HP has added an unprecedented second screen to the OMEN X 2S in the form of an easy-to-use six-inch 1080p touchscreen that lets players message friends in WeChat and WhatsApp, browse in Spotify, watch Twitch and YouTube, or even serve as a hub for OMEN Command Center software."
That secondary display is larger and more functional than the one that shipped on some Blade laptops of yesteryear. It also compliments the traditional trackpad rather than replaces it. To make room for the display, the trackpad sits to the righto of the keyboard instead of underneath it, though for actual gaming, most users are going to opt for an actual mouse." - HotHardware
I think the dual screen may be a great innovation or help. I find myself tabbing out of a game to check a guide fairly often. If they can put this in and make it compete price wise with similar specs, the second screen may be a huge selling point.
