Ok so this is just ridiculous! I got my HP Pavilion ZE2200 last Dec... and today I experienced a problem with power for the 3rd time. Yeah! The problem has been escalating 3 times now! And sending my laptop to HP repair center at Memphis doesnt seem to help much!
I don't know what the heck was happening... i usually bring my laptop to work and then bring it back home and wrap up my stuff. And today (as well as the other 2 days in the past) i opened my laptop at home to check my email and DARN! the power kicked in, the light on the power button turned on for 3 seconds and then everything died down! Just as same as the last 2 times!
I dont think its my fault... I remembered this afternoon at work I carefully shut the laptop down and then close it and put it in my case. I remembered pretty well that the battery was about 50% empty (or should I say full?) and everything was cool. And Snap! Now my laptop died for some reason.
I am really sick of this... the last two trips of my laptop's to Memphis cost me 1.5 months so i could not work on my stuff! And now what? What if it escated for the fourth time after it gets fixed this time? I will be abroad so I am really worried about tha situation!
Anyone has experience on this thing? It must be a critical problem for my laptop that they really missed. I start losing faith in HP products and services!
Thanks for your time and ideas.

Call HP and demand for a replacement unit.

3 things I've seen cause that, ok 4. A: System board (of course). B: LCD Cable. C: Trackpoint cable (on the models I have experience with). D: CPU. -
Well.. ok I will repeat the problem: I press the power button to turn it on... the light goes on for 3 secs and then goes out. Other lights (cap, num... usually go on as the laptop starts up usually) wont go on this time. And nothing happens. So there must be some power problem here... but they tried to fixed it twice by replacing alot of stuff (system board, fan, heat sink etc.) but it has just escalate for the 3rd time :-S
I did call and ask for repair... and i demand them to look at it mroe carefully this time. Hopefully...
