    I took this picture outside my backyard just to show that the HP Palivion DV9500T is clearly outdoor viewable compared to the Toshiba Satelite P105. which clearly isnt so an advice if you like to use a DV9500T Outdoors i would suggest ordering The Ultra Brightview option.

    Looks nice. Too bad I only ordered the default one. Would you happen to know how bright that is? On par with the Toshiba?

    Pity - ultra bright EATS a lot of power from the battery..

    I've used both and I'd have to say it doesn't make much of a difference. I'd take the Ultrabright over 10 extra minutes of battery life.

    the HP is like 5x brighter 500nits of brightness compared to toshibas 200nits of brightness

    Man, sometimes I wish my HP had that bright of a screen... I often have to leave mine at or near full brightness to get a decent picture that I can actually see... :(
