OK well I have a HP pavilion DV6 3077 laptop that i puchased a few months ago, the screen got smashed. I orderd a new screen (Matte finish thank god, so tired of glossy finish screens, that I found for 60 US) that should be here in a few days, I plan on doing the fix myself. since i have replaced a few screens, does anyone know of a service manual or maybe an online video of dissassembly of these newer HP models?

    Thanks alot guys!

would anyone know about replacing the keyboard,,,basically what happend was my friends gf , were arguing , she went to dump a drink on him and the laptop got the ty end of the stick..... luckily they are paying for it, and im a nice friend,,, but is there a easy fix to a few sticky keys? i tried removing them with tweezers not happening,, these things seem to be welded on haha,,,

Sticky keys are the worst, I spilled Creaming Soda all over my keyboard, I had to remove the whole keyboard as it didn't work and underneath was all this pink sticky stuff. I didn't actually do much to the spill but simply put it back in and it sort of worked again. You're best bet is to do that, take the keyboard off - best check whether that voids your warranty as removing the ZIF connector on the keyboard does void most warranties.

Haha check your rep comments ;)

has anyone had a chance to take this model apart yet? is it tricky? the instructions look pretty simple, just wondering if its harder than it looks?
