I was given this laptop recently, the first one I have ever owned. I know this is a old model but it is in really good condition for being a 900mhz it runs super fast. I installed a new harddrive myself along with more ram, so it now has a 512mb of ram. I will be using this laptop until I can get a new one. My question is, how reliable will it be for doing graphic design related processes on?

I am a student in this field, and didn't have the cash now to put into a new hp laptop. Hey free is better than nothing!

I believe this notebook has a Trident video card in it. It's obviously not upto spec vs newer systems, but should be able to handle basic graphics work. Anything graphics designs that are very graphics intensive will either run very slow or maybe not at all. But since you can't afford a new notebook, it should be able to hold you over until you do get enough cash to put down on a new notebook. I think you should be fine.
