    Hey guys,

    Got a bit of a problem. :(

Family friends asked me to configure this lappy for their daughter as a New Years pressie, I decided instead of installing Office, Nero etc already on a bloated set-up, I reformatted and installed Vista Ultimate (over Home Premium).

Anyway, I downloaded all the drivers from HP site and I have two issues:

    1. Their is no separate icon for the wireless connection!!!
    2. Fingerprint diver installs fine but no actual software!!!

    Help would be much appreciated.

    ghr3y out.

1- You should look correct driver for wireless card: Broadcom, Intel, or Atheros. Look if there's yellow mark in Device Manager, it's usually a sign of missing driver.

2-You can download Bioscrypt VeriSoft Access Manager from here.

    Hey thanks for your reply.

Device manager is fine, no exclamation or question marks, wireless internet works fine, just no separate icon.

The Bioscrypt VeriSoft Access Manager you linked I already tired, but it does not allow to register the actual fingerprints. I remember when I first powered the laptop up (before format/reinstall) the fingerprint software tray icon was different to that of the one you linked.

    Thanks.
