Keyboard seems to work in BIOS. But, when the windows logon screen is displayed, the keyboard is not working.
It looks like after windows starts the keyboard stops working. The OS is Windows 7.

I tried removing battery and holding power button for 30 secs. It did not solve the issue.

    Pls. Help.

    Thanks.

Try reseating the keyboard connector that is located under the keyboard. The DV4t keyboard is very easy to remove.
Instructions can be found via HP support here.

If that doesn’t help you likely need a new keyboard. Get the part number from under the keyboard or via the service manual and search ebay.

Plug in an USB-Keyboard to get by.
