    hi

I installed a new 1080p screen on my HP Pavilion DV6 6053ea laptop. It came with a 720p screen but I replaced the screen and a cable on the motherboard to get it to work. It works perfectly although installation was not easy or perfect.

I just have one question, in the notification area it flags to check my display driver. When I go and update my AMD Catalyst™ Notebook Display Driver it installs a small program but then tells me

    Any ideas ?

Try Leshcat 13.3 beta. The most up-to-date driver for the series.

I installed it and it made things worse. The brightness on the screen wont go up an there is a message on the bottom right of the desktop saying

    Test mode
    Windows 8 Pro
    Build 9200

I am looking for an up to date driver for my DV6 6063ea

The watermark can be removed by the watermark remover. (it in the driver pack) You can also solve the stucked brightness, read the manual. Check out Leshcat's page.

I re installed the driver posted on this forum. I had to run a CMD command to get rid of the test mode. Things are working fine now but I might get the flag again in the notification area.

One thing I was not sure about when I upgraded the screen and screen cable was my Windows score. My lowest score was 5.5 for graphics. I thought it may have dropped when I upgraded the new cable but I'm not 100% sure.
