I was wondering if there is anyone that has the same Laptop as me that went and upgraded their screen to 1080p? I know there was a thread about this, that was where I got the installation instruction, etc. I posted up a message on there too. But anyways, I got the entire screen set up, ordered a FHD cable from HP. Everything went well. The only thing that exists is this weird vertical streak.

Fonts become unreadable, since it looks so fuzzy. Since normal monitors are made from Square Pixels. But this one only has vertical lines.

    Another Close up.

I emailed the people I bought it from "Laptopscreens.com" and they said that they're assuming my laptop doesn't support HD Panels? Or is it because the panel itself is messed up? Anybody know?

The only time I've ever seen lines like that was with my old old old school toshiba with horizontal lines after the screen started to go bad.

So my guess would be bad screen?
To be sure, go in and make sure that the screen is the correct model for your type of computer.

    Thanks for the reply Sigh.

That was what I was assuming too. I was reading up on the thread about people upgrading their screen of their DV6 model. But the people at Laptopscreen.com said that they're assuming that the screen isn't compatible with my computer. So I just wanted to make sure this is a bad screen instead of it not being compatible with my laptop.

If anyone else has any other thoughts, please let me know.

    100% not a FullHD cable.

You are missing every second row of pixels = LVDS Channel B is not active.
Your cable is either missing 8 wires, or is not plugged in right.

    Hey LSB,

I tested it before on a non FullHD cable and the colors came out green, (but the lines still existed) which was why I ordered the LVDS FHD cable from HP parts store. Hoping that the lines would also go away.

After receiving the cable, I opened up the laptop, plugged it into the motherboard, and got the screen working, and the colors were correct, but the problem with the pixels were still dead.

I finally got down to the Source of the problem. It turned out I got an Faulty monitor. The one I ordered from Laptopscreens (LG LP156) was defective when Fedex delivered it. I went ahead and sent it back. So, I went out today and bought the AUO B156HW01 V4, picked it up locally, tested it again, and it works Flawlessly.

It was quite a frustrating chain of events which in the end turned out positive in the end. I am happy with the 1920x1080!

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.
