    Dear All,

I ordered HP Pavilion DV6670ee through brother from UAE. It is mighty awesome. I am loving it. I would like to know something though. The palm rest area while you type, is it finished properly? Hands sweat you know and the said has caused bad discolouration to my almost 3 and a half years old Compaq Presario 2500.

Will it do the same for Pavilion DV6xxx series? Has any one experienced this? How can I avoid it? Other than buying a separate keyboard? Plastic wrap sort of available which won't look bad but will save the palm area too?

Plus there is strange static noise coming from the notebook's ADAPTER :\ and I notice it sort of increases with increase of load on the notebook. What should I do about it? It is audible and irritating.

    Thanks in advance

Could be a marginal power supply brick. Very, very irritating sound when that happens, assuming you have a high hearing range like I do. See if HP will send you a new brick. The notebook itself should be fine.

Yeah, notebook is fine. I won't be able to send it back to the shop in Dubai at least for a month's time. I may buy a new Genuine HP Adapter 90W instead if it doesn't cost a foot, I mean it may be cheap buying a new one and replacing this one for me, since Dubai thing.

Anyway, I have contacted HP, waiting for their reply. Thanks!

I received two e-mails from HP Customer Support. One e-mail says I can contact HP Help Line at UAE through a relative and get the part replaced, another e-mail says it is normal and that if I still am not happy with it I can replace it.

    :D

    Thanks for replies everyone
