    do you need bluetooth?

dv6871us has discrete graphics and is same amount as dv6830us.

dv6870us has bluetooth, it is over $1000 and has AMD processor and has fingerprint reader, if you don't need bluetooth or fingerprint reader then 6871 is a good choice and better performance than 6830.

you're right, i dont really need either bluetooth or fingerprint reader. dv6871us does look good but the cheapest price I can get it at is $879. is there a place where its available at $849?

i'm a student, so i primary use it to browse the net, use word/spreadsheet applications, watch movies, listen to music. I edit photos quite a bit and occasionally edit videos.

Yesterday it was $849 at NewEgg. $879 is the best price I see today and not at NewEgg.
