HP Pavilion Desktop Computer Won't Start!

Ok, well.. It's a desktop but, they are essentially mobile computers.


Its HP Pavillion

So, I powered cycled my modem, router earlier today. So I flipped my surge protector to shut everything off.

After 30 seconds I turned the it back on, Forgetting about turning the desktop computer on and going on to the laptop.

Well about an hour later I go to turn the computer on and nothing happens.

The power button has been wearing out by making it harder to turn the computer on but, I found a method to fix this..

So I try to turn it on nothing works, I go to open up the computer and it was very dusty so I took my canned air and sprayed it out, and tried to see if it worked.. Still no.


Strange thing really is, that it has no power but, my internet is working fine even without the cables going into the computer.


I went to go unplug everything and let it lose the buildup of electricity, and plug the computer back in "plug only" and nothing.

And I'll add when it wouldn't turn on for the first few hours it hard the green led lit up in the back.

But, now its faint and flickering and it sounds like its making a very quite noise, it could be one of the adapters near it but, im not sure on that.

The monitor works aswell but you can only turn it off and on, and the wirless mouse since it lights up.
