    Hi Everyone,

Recently bought a HP G6-1378sa model from Dixons UK and have been having problems.

I tried to update my BIOS using the Insyde BIOS flash utility from the HP website and unfortunately the application froze while doing the update. After an hour I gave in and turned off the laptop manually.

Predictably, the laptop now boots to a black screen.

The problem is, the HP website suggests holding Win + B to recover the BIOS from the recovery partition on the HDD.

I deleted that partition to recover space, so I don't have it.

I have tried downloading the latest and previous BIOS files and tried putting the .BIN files onto a flash disk drive and use Win + B with that inserted.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
