Ok so I see there are no reviews after 2 months since it's release. But I'm trying to get a new laptop and I see the new HP Pavilion gaming 15 looks really nice but there are no reviews and I don't want to waste my money without knowing what it's like it its flaws. Does anyone have one and can tell me what it's like? I plan on customizing mine with most of the higher tiered specs. Processor and 4k screen. How hot does this laptop get? How well is it made? Any defect? I'm coming from a HP Pavilion dv6t 7000 QTE which ran pretty hot. Fan always was blasting from just turning it on and it's something I don't want from this laptop. What would you say about that laptop? Should I get it or move on to another laptop?

I did quite a bit of research on it and i would probably say no with how hp usually does their cooling. Sure, everything looks great, but cooling is a big thing too. as far as i know, ownordisown on youtube is going to make a review on it sooner or later, so you should probably wait for that

Yeah there are no reviews regarding the performance of the laptop. There are only unboxing videos that I have found and only one video of proper review of the laptop(done by Digisas Private limited).
That laptop was bought in India with max configuration and even after that there was some lag being seen during the gameplay of Batman Arkham Knight.
When I asked him question about it he said that it was due to a background application testing.
He spent about 1.1 lakh rupees on that laptop.
When someone spends that much amount on a laptop lag is unacceptable.
    Waiting for more reviews.

It might be throttling. Background apps are one thing but if it lags there are few issues such as High temperatures, win updates, background download/upload etc...

I probably won't be getting that laptop then. Maybe Acer Predator 300... I wish it was 4K

I understand your concern but don't forget to take service and support into consideration. In India we get 3 years of warranty on hp laptops by paying 999rupees(approx 15 us dollars).
As per my knowledge there is no other company that gives 3years warranty.
That is the only reason I am waiting for someone to review hp pavilion gaming laptop.

It's Acer's laptop. I was thinking of going with them or wait for better laptops with 4k screen.

Stick with FHD or QHD if you don't want scaling issues. BTW, you can scale down from 4k to QHD to have better clarity but 4k is hard on battery life.

Yeah. I actually don't care for battery life my laptop will always on on a charge. I want it for futureproof.

For future-proof get the cpu and gpu since you can swap out the 4k panel sometime later when apps/content gets mainstream.

Well for the HP Pavilion Gaming 15 I would get everything max including the 4k but reviews aren't promiing and I think the 4k screen would be lacking compared to others.
