Hello. I have a problem with this laptop. With the simultaneous use of the CPU and the GPU (NVIDIA), after a while, the PL1 limit of 30 watts is set on the CPU. It is independent of temperatures. TPL settings in Throttlestop are ignored. Through experimentation, I learned that with very low GPU utilization, this limitation is not imposed. I learned that laptop manufacturers can set limits using the EC. I want to know what is the trigger for activating this restriction and if it can be somehow bypassed. For example, make the multicontroller think that the GPU is not active. Or replace energy consumption data. I looked at the registers of the multicontroller, but did not find anything similar. I have an assumption that the multicontroller is looking at the total consumption of the laptop. I also found an interesting shunt resistor (R005) on the board, installed near the external power and battery connectors. Perhaps replacing this resistor can trick the system into thinking that the consumption is lower than it actually is. But this is only speculation so far.
