    Hi all.

Firstly top site, loads of info for a noob.

I am thinking about upgrading my RAM on my DV6330, but looking around there only seems to be 1024 mb sticks available. of which I already have....... I think...... not sure if it is the same as a desktop whether it could be 2x 512's

I have read around that under my current bios f.16 (Cooler running) I can only put 2gb in it, but I cannot find any anywhere.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding some RAM, ideally in the UK and whether I am correct about the 2Gb bit.

    Cheers

If you have 1GB it's in the form of two 512MB SODIMMs. You can verify that with CPU-Z. You'll want to replace those with a pair of 1GB or 2GB DDR2-667 sticks. Note that 32-bit Windows is limited to accessing 3GB of memory so you might not want to bother with the expense of a pair of 2GB sticks.
