    Hi all,
I have check whether my laptop's CPU fan is running or not. How to know or check whether the laptop CPU fan is running or no?
I'm worry about the CPU fan is still functioning or no.

Try running any program which uses cpu resources(wprime for example) and the cpu fan should speed up and you should be able to hear the fan in a quiet room as well as feel the hot air coming from the exhaust on the back of the notebook.

If you hear a "whinnnnnng" sound, then the fan is running. Or on the back left side of the notebook there is a air vent. if you feel the heat coming out then the fan is running. But you should hear the sound tho. If you don't hear the sound then maybe the fan is dead.
