    Hi Guys ..

just bought this Notebook recently . and have some Q.

Installed normal Vista edition , Not from recovery discs .
Installed all the drivers from hp.com page dv2700 support and drivers ..
Installed all the codecs .. KLM codecs 380 and CoreAVC pro

When i connect HDMI cable to my 42" Sony LCD . the laptop recognised the LCD but what i think it doesnt show me the right HDMI ready resolution for the LCD TV .

Next issue is that .. it is playing all the mkv movies (HDMI) but .. the movie is in the midle laging . ( or better to say .. like the movie is split in half .. and in fast scenes it lags preaty much .. that i can not see normal fluit picture ..

Tried to put the notebook on High Performance .. but it still lags ..

Dont know if it would not help to dedicate more ram to the graphic accelerator 8400M GS ?? if yes .. how ?

When the LCD tv is connecte throug PC connection . OLD monitor cable .. the movie is much better .. no lagging .. but sometimes .. while the scene changes it cuts about a second from the scene .. ;-) so it is also wrong :)

soo .. what to doo .. to make this multimedia notebook work well with external LCD s ?? and play movies fluently ?

could be the issue that on higher resolutions the refresh rate drops to 30 frames ? and i tried to put the external LCD to lover resolution and 60 hz refresh rate .. but still .. no luck ..

so it could be .. that the cpu is not enough .. (Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.00 GHz, 2 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB) is not enough ?

thanks for your .. comments .. sorry for my english .. :)

Mine works perfectly... nearly same specs..

Im guessing its wrong drivers. You can go to the Nvidia Control Panel adn set the resolutions and video format/settings

maybe drivers under Vista 64 are better than 32 bit version ..

from where do you download the drivers ? to be specific ?

mine pavilion is DV2700t but .. there are only
HP Pavilion dv2700 CTO Notebook PC drivers ..

    ;-)
