The screensaver function on my new laptop that I bought at the beginning of the year has never worked. It previews OK. Instead of showing the graphic after the 2 minutes or whatever the setting is it just goes to a black screen? I have tried different settings and choice of graphics but nothing works.

This is my first laptop. Any suggestions?

The reason the screen is going black is that your Power Settings say that the monitor should turn off after x minutes. To change this you can go to Control Panel - Power Options - Choose when to turn off the display (in the left menu). :)
