Hey guys did anybody buy this model? is the quick-shipping version of the new dv5z version. Here the specs:

    Processor: AMD Turion X2 Ultra ZM-80 Dual-Core (2.1 GhZ)
    Hard Drive: 400 GB @ 5400RPM
    RAM: 4096MB DDR2 System Memory
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 3450 Graphics with 512MB dedicated

is on sale on the official HP store at 849 no taxes. It looks like a good deal. I wanted a couple info: does it have bluethoot? what about the fingerprint reader?
and if anybody has it i'd like to see some pics and have some info for gaming. not that i play a lot but sometimes...

dude. dont buy that!!!! HP has a new 30% coupon for notebooks that are $1000+... meaning that you could configure a $1200 dv5z yourself and get it for $850.... which means you could add WSXGA+, bluetooth, blu-ray, whatever and come out around the same price... by the way, get the regular battery, and better yet, come to me for an extra hi-capacity 6-cell --> http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=351518

*** 30% off HP Pavilion or HDX Laptops $999+ Coupon Code: NB5463 Mar 02, 2009
Excludes HP G60t and HP G70t Notebooks PCs, HP Pavilion dv4t and Special Edition dv4t Notebook PCs, HP Mini series, and Compaq Notebook PCs

i get pretty much they same thing with bluethoot and fingerprint reader for 10$ less! I downgraded the Hard Drive though I don't need 400, 250 is more than enough

I'm assuming you probably also got the ATI 3650 vs. The 3450 for the same price. Don't forget to contact me for an extra battery if you need one.

    EDIT:
just for kicks i configured one... for $1195 (before discount)i came up with the following enhacements over the pre-configured model:

    ZM-82 2.2Ghz instead of the ZM-80 2.1Ghz
ATI Radeon 3650 instead of the 3450
    WSXGA+ 1650x1080 display
    +Fingerprint reader
    +Bluetooth

If WSXGA+ isnt your thing, get the regular WXGA and for an additional $50 out of pocket get the Lightscribe Blu-Ray drive

Personally, if i were you I'd spend $920 and get a dv7t with

Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P7450 (2.13GHz)
    4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
    512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
    17.0" diagonal WSXGA+ High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1680 x 1050)
Lightscribe Blu-Ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD+/-R/RW Double Layer
    Webcam + Fingerprint Reader
    Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-card with Bluetooth
    8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

I already had the 3650 I just made a mistake writing...and the dv7t is way too big I need to carry it around pretty often so 17" is too big. I didn't think about upgrading the screen though, and now I did thanks! And i don't want to spend 100 more for the processor is fine like that. The only difference between the two is the L2 cache (1MB vs 2MB).
