Hello there everyone! I'm having a bit of an issue with my lap top.

I have an HP Pavilion dv6 with AMD A8-3520M/Radeon HD Graphics 1.60 GHz. 6 GB of RAM. 64-bit OS. 570GB harddrive/260 GB remaining.

I just recently started having this problem, about a week and a half ago.

When I touch the power button it's supposed to go into sleep mode, which is does, sorta. Sometimes it attempts to go into sleep (screen goes dark but continues to run and run) until Blue Screen of Death comes up. Other times it will go into sleep mode without an issue. When it's not going into sleep mode after I hit the power button, nothing brings it out of sleep unless I manually shut down the computer. When I start it back up it says "windows has encountered a problem what would you like to do?" Then lists start normally, safe mode, safe mode with net, etc etc.

I did update the BIOS two days ago and I thought the issue was fixed but it turns out that wasn't it. I tried updating sound and video but couldn't find anything.
This is really starting to get on my nerves. I do use my lap top quite frequently and I would rather not turn it off every time i'm not using it. I usually turn it off before I head to sleep for the night but throughout the day if i'm not using it I put it into sleep mode.

    Thanks in advance!

    Stephen.
