On to the deal!!!!!
follow this link to
Best deal HP Pavilion dv6-3050us Quickship Laptop w/ Blu-ray | HP dv6 quickship reviews & deals - LogicBUY
Once there simply select the green get deal button. After that a window should open to hp's site with the item and insant $130 rebate already knocked off dropping the unit to a whopping $659.99!!!!
Next add the item to the cart and apply LOGICBUY25 in the coupon code box for another $25.00 off!!!!! This will bring the unit down to the afore mentione $634.99
But im not done yet folks! HP offers a mail in rebate of $50.00 on all lap top models ending in "us" for even more savings!!!! (This should eat up most of the taxes and keep the unit in the $630s after everything is said and done)
All in all thats an amazing deal for such specs, considering it starts out at around $789 on HP, $800 on amazon, and $899 on newegg. All of those sites have plenty of reviews about the systems hardware/performance.
Heres the specs
• Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
• High-capacity 6-cell battery with up to 4 hours of life
• AMD Vision Ultimate with Phenom II Quad-Core Mobile Processor N930 (2GHz)
• 4GB DDR3 system memory
• 640GB hard drive with built-in protection (only 5400 sadly, 7200 and it would have been to good to be true)
• 15.6" (diagonal) hi-def LED BrightView display (1366 x 768)
• ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics (1GB dedicated video memory)
• HP MediaSmart software for entertainment management
• HP TrueVision webcam with integrated digital microphone
• 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth
Hope this helps one of you guys !!!!

On the bright side though the $130 is direct from hp, so the only thing you have to worry about is the $25 coupon expiring, and the rebate is good through January 11'.
I would definitly keep looking back though cause a system with a decent processor and 1g 5650 south of $650 is amazing.
Sad part about the hard drive ive found out through some research though is that if you upgrade to a 7200 yourself HP wont provide their niffty quickweb featureIt only comes on the stock harddrive. So im definitly going to have to see how the system preforms and then decide if the upgrade is nessecary.

Yeah, the listing is totally different now, as in downgraded, for more money it appears, unless I'm looking at it wrong...I'm still debating between AMD and Intel but this deal would've sealed it regardless...Oh well...
-
I would have prefered the intel i5 no doubt, but even after my student discount i couldnt get a similar build under $890, so obviously the choice was a no brainer.
Dont give up though!! About a month back i missed out on a newegg deal that had a dv7 tricore for $650 after rebate cause i was hesitant, but as a result I got to cash in on this much better deal -
I went to HP's site and of course, if you customize your own w/similar specs (except the CPU is now the 940 quad AMD), w/the instant rebate, the price is around $954. Is there another coupon I'm missing?
-
The model i linked was a quick-ship system, and they will always be cheaper than a customized build with similar specs. The model is sold on several other sites though, so one would assume that they would get more in.

First time I've seen the 3050us listed with bluray - I assume it was an error.
HP Pavilion dv6-3050us for $634.99!!!!!!
