Similar to mine (see sig) but faster CPU and RAM I think you might want more RAM. IGP could not find but if an upgrade of 6150 then good. My system works great so this should do the same.

It should be the latest in the AMD based HP notebooks. Good to see they updated the dv6000z to be equivalent to the dv6500 series. Plus the graphics card/chipset has been updated to the 7150M/6xx. Performance(3D) wise it should be a bit faster and offer better power savings compared to the Go 6150.

I would suggest upgrading the RAM to 2GB down the line depending on your use, 1GB would be fine for basic Vista use but if you are running many applications or use photoshop the extra RAM will definately help.

The dv6502 is the first one I have seen to be shipping with this GPU. It should be a bit better than the current gen 6150 but dont expect it to be a performance graphics considering its still an integrated chip. It should be OK for light gaming but if you are serious about gaming and 3D work then it would be better to invest in a dedicated graphcis card.

But will it be enough for Win Vista Home Premium?

Also my requirements are basically word processing, delivering presentations, internet browsing and photo editing with photoshop. For these applications is this mechine (dv6502AU) OK?

Oh yes, even its predecessor the Go 6150 was capable to handle Vista. So, the 7150M shouldnt have any issues with running Vista HP with Aero/Flip 3D.

That setup should do fine for your uses. As for as Photoshop, it depends on how you use it. If it is just basic photoediting then you should do fine with that setup, it would be a better idea to get more RAM but typically photoshop is a cpu/RAM intensive application. The TL-56 is middle of the road and 1GB is a bit on the low side for Vista. Upgrade to 2GB and you should have pretty good performance.

Thanks for your quick reply miner. You said, "...you should have pretty good performance." What should I do for the best performance?

 My questions may be a little silly, but I am a novice in this field.

'Best' performance depends on how much you are willing to spend. What other notebooks are you looking at? If budget is not a concern then look for a laptop with a Core 2 Duo T7200/T7300 or above with 2GB RAM, 7200rpm HD & a dedicated GPU. But if budget is of a concern then a notebook with the Turion X2 or if you can find one with a Core Duo are not too bad of a choice, they are a bit slower than equvalent Core 2 Duo's but do offer good performance for the price and for everyday use(web browsing, office work etc) you wont notice the difference. Search the web for reviews if you want benchmark numbers.
