    Hi, i have a dv6611ei and i rolled back to xp from vista - I am looking for Ethernet Network Controller Driver - Can you assist me with a driver for this please. thanks in advanced !!

    Do not change your Operating system that came shipped with the laptop. You have void your warranty. You won't get support when you call HP TOTAL CARE

    Nope changing your OS does not void your warranty; all that will happen is that when the OP calls up HP for support they will not be able to offer assistance because the OS in use is not what was shipped with the notebook. What usually voids warranties are hardware changes like processor changes or mainboard changes, changing software cannot void a warranty because all that you would need to do is reinstall the factory image and HP will never know.

    To the OP what you will need to do (because HP doesn't officially support XP on your notebook) is go and find the ethernet driver on your own on the internet. First you will need to identify who is the manufacturer of the ethernet card and then start looking based on that.
