Hello! I'm buying a laptop soon, and I've decided to purchase an HP Pavilion dv7. I searched around and didn't really get why there was a major price difference between two specific models, 4296nr and 6163us. What's the difference between them? Is it just that one's "newer" and one's "older"? If so, which is which?

I truly apologize if this is in the incorrect section.

The 4296 is older by a little bit, but it's actually the better machine.

It might be because about the graphics card, the 4296nr is an older model while the 6163us is newer. The Graphics card on the 4296nr is the AMD 6570m while the 6163us has only the Intel HD 3000. Usually dedicated graphics are better than integrated like the intel, so that's what makes it better.
The other difference is that the 6163us has 6GB memory instead of 4GB, 750GB HD instead of 500GB and Blue-Ray instead of regular DVD drive.
The 4296nr might do some gaming but nothing too high. The 6163us does not really do gaming.
Mostly that's what I could see in a quick view of those 2 versions.
