    Hey!

I had a few questions on a couple of laptops. I plan on using it for internet browsing, homework, and gaming. Here are 2 of them:

    HP Pavilion dv7- 7010us:
    Processor: AMD Quad-Core A10-4600M
    Graphics Card:AMD Radeon HD 7660G Discrete-Class

HP Pavilion dv7-7010us Entertainment Notebook PC | HP® Official Store

    HP Pavilion dv7-7020us:
    Processor: Intel Core i5-3210M
Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 4000

HP Pavilion dv7-7020us Entertainment Notebook PC | HP® Official Store

Any help would be nice. I really would like to stay with HP Pavilion, but if anyone has any good suggestions please tell me :D

    pffstsst! AMD rules!

ok ok, here: Intel did rule the CPU landscape last coupple of years but AMD is catching up. Especially with Trinity for the mid market CPUs

Intel only is really above AMD in the super high-end (ex: expensive) market of CPUs.

I'm sorry. I'm not exactly smart when it comes to computers. What I've read in the links you guys posted is that AMD is slightly better than an i5?

No worries bro. Yes, it should be just a bit better than the i5. I would go for the AMD laptop in this scenario.

    Hi!

I don't want to open a new thread, and hope this one will be good for my question.

I have a DV7-6103EG and my 2 years warranty soon expiring. Now I'm wondering, is any chance to change the LCD panel in the notebook. I have the 1600x900 resolution variant and would be fine to change to the full HD 1920x1080 variant. If it is possible, any store where I can buy? I can't find on ebay. Maybe I'm wrong and no DV7-6xxx notebook with the full HD panel?

Another question. Is it possible to change the 6770M? I'm bet it isn't, but who knows.

    Thanks for your andwers.

Anyone about the lcd panel change? As I see the dimensions and connectors are exactly the same. And there isn't different display cable, just one type.

I changed my fullhd model with a screen AUO V.5 B173HW01 bought from laptopscreen, I had the 1600x900 and now is truly remarkable
my notebook is a dv7 6180sl, as if you already have the 1600x900 said the cable is ready to drive the fullhd.
