I've recently reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop and after I formatted Primary drive i found that my DVD-R with drivers from SwSetup folder is scratched and is not reading at all.
After reinstallation I've downloaded drivers from hp.com but I didn't find some things:

    1. Chipset drivers - now i have standard windows xp drivers.
    2. My battery doesn't show remaining running battery life time.
    3. Notebook hardware control (HWC) doesn't show CPU's temperature.
    4. When I press caps / num locks there is no small caption in lower right corner Caps Lock: on / off (and other locks too)
    5. I do not have Quick Play now.
    6. I don't have HP's Help Center and other HP's SW.
As I remember there where lots of things on that DVD. Some of them are useless, but some are vital.

Is it possible to get it somewhere? Or maybe someone who owes the same notebook would be so generous and upload it somewhere or even send me a copy via earth mail.

I would be extremely thankfull to anyone who could do it.

Tech specs (maybe some other dv8000 models would be compatible):
    AMD Turion 64 processor
    ATI xpress 200M graphics card
    309B motherboard code
    BT/WiFi

    Thanks a lot (in advance)

    Hello,

Try calling HP or ebay maybe, since no one can give you a copy of the CD or ISO. *Part of the rule*
