Alright basically here is what happened...
My laptop came with vista.. vista somehow just randomly crashed so i used the recovery disc that I made.
When I booted up the recovery disc it kept getting to 98% and would give me a whole whack of errors so I said f*ck it and installed XP Pro (obviously XP is better)
Anyways, under my device manager I have the following with yellow question marks beside them and I can NOT find the drivers ANYWHERE!!!:
here is what I need drivers for:
-Base System Device
-Base System Device
-Base System Device
-CoProcessor
-Other PCI Device Bridge
-PCI Device
-SM Bus Controller.
If anyone can help me out I would REALLY appreciate it.
Thankyou!

Hey there lazy butt, have you considered READING THE STICKY?

Looks like you are missing the Nvidia chipset, MMC card reader and/or the HP quicklaunch buttons drivers. All drivers should be available for download from the dv9000z support page...

The solution what "miner" gave is right but however u can go to the following website... and dowanload all teh necessary drivers for your notebook as the web site is for the DV 9000 series......

I got it all going now but I still have the three Base System Device and the Coprocessor thing there still.
it is an AMD Dual Core Athlon X2 processor chipset... not intel... -

base system device is the card reader, you can use the driver for the vista 32bit. i am doing the samething as you right now, trying to figure out the coprocessor....
