HP Pavilion dv9500t just left china!

for those of you who have ordered a customized HP laptop from hp.com and had to have it shipped from SHANGHAI CHINA...

how long did it take to arrive?

 

It only took mine two days, though that could be due to my location. They use air mail to deliver it and I happen to live near an airport on the east coast.

 

ahh, i see, probably another 5 days to get to california by road from the east coast..

 

Well really it depends, I highly doubt that HP has just one central location they drop packages from, they may drop them at specific locations according to where the package is destined for. Normally once you get your tracking number you can check out the Fedex/UPS/etc website and the estimated arrival date is almost always correct.

My 9500t was just picked up by FEDEX in Shanghai today!

I too live in a major east coast city . . . . most used airport in the world and it has the FEDEX hub for the southeast US!

Maybe Friday?!?!?!

 

Not really...it usually arrives BEFORE the estimated delivery date.

 

If you are referring to HP then I will definitely agree with you. What I am talking about is Fedex's new tracking system. What I mean by new is more like revamped, but as of recent all shipments I have sent through Fedex, which is easily over a dozen have arrived on the exact estimated arrival date.

 

shipped wed (showed shanghai cn) and i got it friday here in boston ma though the estimated arrival showed the next monday. so i basically got it in 2 days!

 

When did you order it " nevian" ? My order status shows shipping date as 28th June and I have to get it by Monday (coz me leaving US) otherwise I wont get it.
On the otherhand I have chosen the FREE shipping where it says 5-7 business days. So I can say the weekend is a waste for me as FEDEX wont ship on those days. Will I get it by Monday morning is my big question ?

 

Fedex uses Indianapolis for a good chunk of its international shipping.

Package received after FedEx cutoff

 

mine says the same thing. What does "received after FedEx cutoff" mean?

 

a cutoff is the deadline for the day, for example if the last fedex courier picks up at 5pm and your shipment was ready at 6pm then the cutoff was missed. so they have to wait for the next one. so for this it would mean that when it was received at one of the areas, the fedex driver had already done the last trip for the day and will get it tomorrow or something.

lol, since yesterday 12:30 when my XPS 710 left Texas. There has been no update from FedEx. I used FedEx grounds and I live in Seattle. Im kinda afraid my package is lost :0 (that computer is 50 LBS)

 

good luck getting your XPS Hambone. As I too live in Seattle and receiving a computer soon, I dont want to hear of one getting lost with FedEx.

So what configurations did you guys get on your 9500t's?

Just got my new 9500t three hours ago from the same shipment at 9:10 AM!

Just looking at it now and getting ready to drop the OCZ 4GB chips in before I turn it on!

mine was scheduled for tomorrow by 10:30, but it arrived at 9:30 today. I've been deleting crap ever since (and played Halo:CE, my only computer game ) Anybody have a complete list of bloatware to remove?

it means that your laptop was picked up from HP and now is chillin in a FedEx building because it was picked up after their shipments went out. So you will probably get it on Monday or tuesday

 

yeah, so cal..... i'm having it shipped to my work in Rancho Cucamonga...

yeah, INFOSECGuy, i don't want to wait until Monday either. this is going to be the first weekend free in a LONG time of any obligations to anyone, to work, to anything...and i want to spend it with my baby...my dv9500t!

 

did everyone get 2 day shipping? Cause i got the free shipping and mine is coming later, even though it "shipped" on the first day.
