    HP Pavilion dv9743cl + Windows XP

    Hello! I recently got my HP Pavilion dv9743cl to dualboot Windows Vista and Windows XP on the two respective hard drives that this laptop has.

    I'm very pleased with what I have been able to achieve but I have been having trouble finding the right drivers for the right devices under the new XP operating system.

    I wanted to know if anyone could provide me with any help in finding these? I have been able to get a hold of my wireless and ethernet drivers but aside from this, I'm pretty lost. I looked up vendor and Device IDs for most of the devices but they weren't too helpful (except for the wireless and ethernet ones). I particularly am having trouble finding the ICH8M drivers, audio drivers (one of these, for example, is vender id 1057 and device id 3055). Thanks in advance!

    Yes I did. I went to the HP website but the drivers for this computer are mainly available for Vista. I went into the XP portion of the drivers for this computer and there weren't really any.

    hi guys, i just bought an hp pavilion dv9743cl notebook from NY,US. it will arrive on 11th Feb. I am really excited 2 use it. well as a starter, plz tell me whether whether i got the rht thing at good price!
    my bro went 2 a Costco store in person, in Port Washington NY n purchased it for $1350 ($1458 including tax). its specs are

    So, plz tell me did i make the right deal. i will appreciate if any1 can assisst me. I am a an ameture videographer n wish 2 use it for video editing though my bro is like, o u r a gal, y u need such a hi fi notebook, 9743 is a manly thing!!! plz comment any 1. thnx guys

    there is a sticky at the top of this forum regarding installing xp on dv**** laptops, it should have all of the drivers you'll ever need
