This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HP Pavilion g7 keyboard freezes

    I purchased an HP Pavilion g7 notebook two weeks ago and after using it for a few hours the keyboard froze. I was working in MSWord at the time, shut down the computer, rebooted and the keyboard worked again. This happened again and I spent the entire weekend on the phone with HP Tech Support going through several "fixes" that seemed to work, but only temporarily. They finally told me to return the computer to Staples where I purchased it and get a new one.

    Guess what? The new computer is doing the same thing. This time I was in Outlook working on email and it happened again. When I called HP Tech Support, they told me to return the computer and buy a different one direct from them. I like the computer I have, just want it to work. Any suggestions?
