I know that HP business notebooks have
worldwide warranty but is it possible that
also HP Pavilion notebooks have global warranty?
Thank you for your answers!
-
yes they do. i purchased my hp dv1000 in pakistan, and had it serviced under warranty in the philppines.
-
no they dont I bought one in New Zealand and here in Almaty, kazakhstan they will not do anything, out of the region they say. HP have a very bad after sales service record.
-
You have worldwide warranty but the HP in country you are need to sell the same model you have.
Here in Brazil HP dont sell dv9000 series yet. m not guarantee but i have a brother in US to send NB if i have a problem.
The series dv2000 and dv6000 are sell here in Brazil. If i have buyed one this i can use warranty here. -
It depends where you bought your notebook from. Some models have regional warranty, which are only valid in the region it's bought in, while others have full global warranty, which is valid in HP's Tier 1 countries, where HP operates an extensive network of service centres. And then there's local warranty which is only valid in the country of purchase.
HP's strategy here isn't good because it's confusing to consumers who expect every Pavillion model comes with international warranty just because one of them (say dv9999) has such a warranty. -
Pavilions do not have international warrenty -
the guy says his one does and yet you tell him he doesnt cuz pavilions dont have international warranties.
i have a dv9000t that i bought from dubai, checked with hp warranty check site and it does indeed have a global warranty.
so in the end pavilions DO have international warranties IF you purchased it from a specific country that provides such a warranty with its purchase. -
If your model notebook is sold in that country by HP then your notebook will be serviced. [Remember that in some countries you might have issues with images for eg: if a customer from France with French O.S with a dv6000 unit goes to India, and his HDD crashes, then since dv6000 is sold in India too, this notebook will be serviced. But the service center cannot install the French O.S. They can only install the O.S in English as 'English' language O.S is shipped in India.] -
That is questionable as some ppl have discovered in previous topics that pavilion notebooks bought from the US for example do not carry such a warranty and therefore are only serviceable in the US.

Repaired perhaps but repaired under warranty which means it will be fixed for free? That will depend on the warranty details sold/offered in the country of purchase.

There is no need for the notebook to be sold in the country for it to be serviced. As long as you have global warranty cover, HP's service centre is able to order the parts for the notebook to perform the service.
