    HP Pavilion quick launch buttons on laptop and remote not working

    Hi all,

    I recently did a total reinstall on my newly purchase Pavilion DV2535ea due to all the bloatware that came installed on the system. Since then I have reinstalled the HP software and programs and everything works fine except for some quick launch buttons on the laptop and the laptop remote. The Quickplay and DVD buttons on the laptop do nothing and the Quickplay, DVD, and Windows Media Centre buttons on the remote do nothing.

    Does anyone know how I can get these working again?

    Hopefully, you saved/backed up your SWSETUP folder, before you clean installed. You did backup, didn't you?? In the SWSETUP folder, run the executables in the QLB and QPW folders. That's where Quick Play resides. That should do it.

    Yes I had backed up that stuff and running QLB setup has solved my problem, guess I didn't run it because of the name.
