    Hi friends
I just bought an HP Pavilion tx2500z and it was working for last week, when I installed some multi language dictionary that most probably was not compatible with vista and thighs went wrong, I was using the tablet mode so did not recognize that in a day later I found out the keyboard is no responding at all, even the audio buttons and the touch pad button are not, so I tried to system restore to previous date and then to first date but to no avail so I returned the laptop to factory default but still not working, is there a button or combination that inactivates the keyboard or it is fault in hardware
    thanks for your help

    This has worked for some:

While booting up, put your notebook in and out of tablet mode by swiveling the screen to tablet position. This should bring the keyboard back.

Perhaps then, remove battery and with it unplugged, hold the power button slide on the ON position for 30 secs. Then plug in and reboot.

Before you sent the message, I was trying to unscrew the 4 screws of the keyboard, so I removed the battery then screwed them back and replaced the battery and pressed the on button, so I heard a big beep and so it worked so it was something to do with just removing the battery, It just cost me to format and I am sitting now to update the windows and install or my software again, thanks for your replies.
