i am in the market looking for a new laptop to use in college. i was looking into the zv5001us because it has alot of the features i'm looking for in a laptop. however, the weight and size has me having second thoughts on getting maybe say a HP ze4630us. also i noticed that this does not have integrated wi-fi which is probably important since i will be using it in college. also the price is awesome. i plan on using it for school mostly so word-processing and office suite work is what ill be doing w/ it. however i would like the option to play an occasional 3d game though. nothing to high-end though.
I want to be able to fit the pc into my backpack, what size is pretty comfortable? Is this laptop for me? and should i be worried about the lack of integrated wi-fi? how can that be solved. as you can see i have alot of questions, i want to be completely informed before i spend this much money. thanks!
p.s i am a newbie to this forum []

Hey I believe that without a special backpack that this would most likely be too big for you. I went to circuit city last week and only 1 computer bag was big enough to fit it comforably (http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.jsp?c=1&b=g&catoid=-10123&qp=0086816270570&oid=73949). This is also, probably the most comfortable back pack I've ever used. It has a decent amount of room and all kinds of pockets.
Beware if you want to try another bag for this computer just do what I did I walked in to circuit city or best buy and say you have one of the models of laptops or similar and that you want to check how well it fits in a couple of their bags. There were several bags that claimed they could fit a 15.4" computer but only 2 did and only 1 fit well.
You can easily add integrated wifi and anything else you want through www.shopping.hp.com this will give you the best price around. I believe the 10% off coupon is still good until 4/3/04 and since your a student you may be able to sign up for the Academic Purchase Program. Between these two options and any other current specials you will most likely get a great price. Let us know what you decide on.
