Hello,
I have the HP Pavilion zv6000 and it has the infamous power problem where the power cord enters the machine. If you so much as sneeze, the unit goes completely dead.
I am looking for the xc2000 All In One Media cable to use as a work around to this problem. I am not concerned with using the battery, I use AC power about 99% of the time.
I am hoping someone here could direct me on how to get one...it seems like this part has dropped off the face of the planet! If not that, is there another work around for this computer? It seems like this is a common problem for a lot of HP notebooks, but the workarounds that you can buy all seem to be for models other than mine.
Thanks for your time!

TechExcess.net might have one. eBay is worth a look too.
You could get the jack repaired by someone like ikenfixit but that's probably more money than the notebook is worth. Maybe not. -
I tried them earlier today, the part is not on the site but I have emailed asking for suggestions. I have not heard from them yet.
A few other places said they could fix it for around $200 but I wouldn't put that much into this computer, I would just purchase another one which I think is what computer makers want us to do. I saw one on ebay but it is in China and would cost around $200 shipped.
I was kind of hoping for another workaround but I have started looking at newer models. I hate that computers barely last for more than two years, but what can you do?
Thanks for the response! -

Yeah, if you can't find that cable for cheap then you might as well strip the notebook for parts. Or sell it on eBay as broken, people are getting surprisingly good prices for fixable notebooks.
