just wondering, how often HP refresh its pavilion product? Is there any refresh planned in near future (particularly dv9500t and HDX)?

That subject was thrashed around a bit on the following thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=157381

As that thread indicates, the x500 series were a recent refresh with the new Intel Santa Rosa chipsets, so it's unlikely that there will be anything new out of HP until 2008 when the next set of Intel chips come out (unless AMD introduces something new in the interim and HP picks it up).

The HDX is very unlikely to get any sort of a refresh until then because it is (a) HP's top of the line for consumer models, and (b) it just came out a few weeks ago.

    thanks for the link.

About HDX, I've heard that HP plans to upgrade the display to full HD (1080p) sometime this year. Also, possibility of nVIDIA models. Is this thing counted as refresh? (I'm new in this thing)

That would, IMHO, count as a refresh. Where'd you hear from, and was there any sort of time-frame?

I found it on some reviews.
nVIDIA - reviews said that "a HP spokesperson said that nVIDIA option will be added later this year"
1080p - I read somewhere that HP is planning to upgrade the display to full 1080p for USD ($) 150. They are working on it

well, I just can hope that 1080p upgrade is related to nVIDIA model refresh.
