Hey everybody. I just had a question. My girlfriend was surfing on my HP DV 2000 and all of a sudden she said it just turned off.. Would never turn back on. I had previous issues with it randomly freezing. But to me it always seemed like the fan didnt spin properly and it would seem to overheat (which might have caused it to freeze/blue screen)... But this time it wont turn on at ALL.. do you guys have any ideas of what could be going on here? thx for any help!

fan might be so clogged cant even spin and it will stop it from turning on , but normally that only happens once the bios is loaded so i dunno..

Return to the store if it's within the policy or call HP and have it fixed. Shipping to and from is included if it's still under warranty. Don't try to diagnose it. Call HP support.

Try removing the battery, then, plug it in to AC power, and attempt to start it up
